Local Artist Marilyn M. Cuellar Says I Am Keeping My Style
Recipient of a 2017 East Central Regional Arts Council/McKnight Fellowship, Marilyn Cuellar will be showing her style of artwork in an open to the public event on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 when The Cambridge Medical Center (CMC) Foundation hosts a gallery opening from 3 to 6 pm at CMC (hospital entrance). Based on her travels, her drawings showcase the body of portrait work she completed for the Fellowship. Refreshments will be served, and a short program and artist’s talk will be given at 4 pm. Marilyn’s style of drawing is well known to the community and encompasses attention to detail, sensitivity to her subject’s personality, and the rich beauty of black/white with all shades in between. Her graphite drawings will remain at CMC till the end of July and are available for purchase. The CMC Foundation will be providing a venue now and into the future for local artists to showcase their work in curated shows.
